Oil Paintings Photography (retired) Watercolor Paintings
Formerly a world-renowned wedding and portrait photographer, Corey McNabb turned his attention a different medium in the arts. With a change from photography to paint, McNabb now creates imagery from a blank canvas. He describes the difference like looking vs. seeing. "With photography, one must look over a scene and determine which aspects to shoot, and how best he or she can capture the image desired. With painting, the canvas is completely blank and one must see the image in his or her mind before brush meets canvas. Conveying emotions and feelings becomes adventures in texture, light, and composition." Corey McNabb specializes in oils and acrylics applied to a canvas with a palette knife. He's known for big, bold, bright impressionistic paintings and has won numerous awards for such. He's also proficient in watercolors, but tends to paint those more for personal pleasure.
